BRL helps Make-A-Wish to bring robots and humanity together for Alex Penny
At four years old, Alex Penny was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. Now as an eleven year-old, Alex was given the opportunity to make a wish through the Make-a-Wish Foundation. He immediately asked for world peace before adding that he wanted to help humanity using robots. Alex had a full two days of robotic activities planned for him including a lab tour of the BRL. After the lab tour Alex was the guest of honor at a surprise flash mob that included hundreds of UW students.
