In addition to her research on neural security, BRL graduate student Katherine Pratt is active as a student veteran. Recently she brought the StoryCorps Military Voices Initiative to the UW Seattle and Tacoma campuses to record the conversations of student veterans. Their visit was covered by The Daily, UW’s student newspaper. You can read it here.
BRL graduate student Maggie Thompson just got back from the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, where she hosted a workshop titled, “Talking About Your Best Self: Speaking Highly about Your Own Work and Accomplishments!” It was well attended and received!
