Principal Investigator

Sara Mouradian is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at UW. She received her B.S., M.Eng., and PhD degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before starting at UW she was a postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley. When she’s not in lab she’s probably cooking, reading, or exploring the outdoors.

Postdoctoral Assosciates

Brant Bowers is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Scalable Quantum Research Lab. He received his B.S. from Denison University and his PhD in from the University of Texas at Austin both in Physics with a thesis focused on improving control over Laser Wakefield Accelerators. When he’s not in lab, he can likely be found working on music, cooking, or juggling his two cats without getting scratched.

Graduate Students

Ritika (Rithi) Anandwade (rih-thih-kuh (rih-thi) aah-nuhndh-waa-day) is a graduate student in the University of Washington physics department.  Prior to attending UW, she got her B.S in physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  When she’s not in the lab or at school she enjoys playing with her cat Ollie, reading, and exploring Seattle.

Hae Lim is a PhD student in the ECE Department at UW. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and MS in ECE (Electronics & Photonics) from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is a fellow of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and the Accelerating Quantum-Enabled Technologies Fellowship at UW. He loves traveling around the world. From the East to the West, he has visited Japan, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Egypt, Morocco, Spain, France, UK, Ireland, and Iceland, and Canada other than US and plans to travel more countries in the future.

Caleb Walton is a graduate student within the CHEM department at UW. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis. In his personal time, he enjoys taking care of plants, especially orchids, exploring different hikes throughout Washington (weather permitting), anything related to computers, and watching high-quality reality TV (VPR – his favorite, The Bachelor, Love is Blind, etc.)

Research Assistants

Vikram Kashyap was an undergrad student at the UW dual-majoring in physics and astronomy and minoring in mathematics. Prior to beginning in the Scalable Quantum Research Lab he did research in the UW’s Seidler Lab and worked as a research aide at Argonne National Lab. Beyond school and research, he enjoys science-fiction, hiking, and working on his motorcycles.

Undergraduate Students

Minh Anh Nguyen is an undergraduate student at UW majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a minor in Mathematical Physics. Before working at Scalable Quantum Research Lab, she was a research intern in the Electronics and Quantum Magnetism Unit at the Okinawa Institute of Technology working on surface acoustic wave devices. Outside of school and research, she enjoys any type of fiction and writing short stories.

Lukshya Ganjoo is an undergraduate student at the University of Washington pursuing a B.S. in computer science and math. In addition to working at the Scalable Quantum Research Lab, he spends a lot of time TA’ing for courses in the CS department. Beyond school, he spends a lot of his time writing, baking and finding novel ways to spruce up the humble bagel and toast.

Charlotte Epstein-O’Rourke is an undergraduate student at the University of Washington majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering and minoring in Experimental Physics. Alongside working at the Scalable Quantum Research Lab, she spends time as a member of Husky Robotics’ Electronics Subsystem. Outside of school, she spends time pursuing her Private Pilot’s license and mountaineering.
