We are looking for curious and motivated people who want to work on quantum hardware at the intersection of physics and engineering.

  • Undergraduates: Email Max with a transcript, CV or resume, and short statement of interests.  Undergraduates can perform research through an independent research credits (ECE 499, or often equivalents in other departments), supported by a Mary Gates Research Scholarship, through the Quantum@UW REU program, or in a paid hourly position as project funding allows or when financial need is demonstrated (e.g. work-study eligibility).

  • Graduate students: Email Max with your CV and a short statement of interests, apply to UW ECE graduate programs if you are not already here.  It is possible for students based in other relevant departments to do research in our lab.

  • Postdocs: Email Max with your CV and a short statement of interests.

  • High School Students:  We aren’t able to host high school research projects. But we’re often happy to show budding quantum nerds around. If you’re a student group, a class, or just a collection of friends, get in touch and we can set up a lab tour.
