Alesia Cameron

Chair

Integrated Systems, VLSI

I’m an Electrical and Computer Engineering major with a focus in Integrated Systems & VLSI.

Outside academics, you can find me at the IMA, cooking, or practicing archery. I love all things space (especially astrophotography), have climbed 1 of the 7 summits, and collect stickers. I’m a research assistant at the Washington Nanofabrication Facility, and this summer I participated in semiconductor research in Japan. I’m excited to connect with others in the ECE community and always happy to chat about my research!

Embedded Systems, Firmware

I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UW. I’m interested in how hardware and software come together to solve real world problems. I’m also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, enjoy practicing yoga, and love exploring new places and trying different cuisines. I like to learn new languages, and I’m currently learning Spanish 🙂

I’m excited to be part of IEEE WiE and look forward to helping build connections between students and industry and supporting everyone with their career journeys.

Embedded Systems, VLSI

Hi, I’m Tanisha! I’m currently a junior studying ECE with a minor in Business. Here at WIE, I serve as the Director of Operations and I am excited to help build a supportive community for women. Outside of school, you’ll usually find me reading books, watching movies and shows, trying out different cafes, or out on a long walk. This summer, I headed back home to Mumbai, India, where I spent time with friends and family while working on a few personal engineering projects.

Director of Communications

Embedded Systems, Neuroengineering

I’m a junior in ECE, with interests in embedded systems and medical devices. I’m excited to support WiE as the Director of Communications and look forward to helping build a supportive community of women within ECE! In my free time, I love hiking, running, and spending time exploring Seattle’s coffee shops.

Sustainability, Energy, & Power Systems

I’m a second year in ECE hoping to pursue a career in power systems engineering! At UW, I’m also an Engineering Peer Educator and a member of Phi Sigma Rho. I love connecting with others and bringing community together, especially for women in STEM. Outside of school, I love watching movies and TV shows and exploring Seattle. I’m graduating this year, so I’m really excited to see what’s next in my journey while enjoying my last year with IEEE WIE!
